What happened when we used it
The Verdict
Tested 30 days. Verdict: it rewards the five minutes and does nothing for the days you skip.
In our testing it did
- A visible, temporary lift along the jaw and cheek for an hour or two after a session — real, and it fades
- On the days we did it, our evening photos showed a slightly more defined jawline; on skipped days, nothing
- The habit stuck for one of us and not the other — it is the most technique-dependent thing we tested
Does NOT
- Work without a conductive gel or serum — dry skin, nothing happens
- Treat anything, or replace anything a professional does
- Give a lasting lift — every effect we saw was gone by the next morning
These are cosmetic tools. Everything above is what we observed in our own use — not a medical claim, not a promise of results.
Who it's for
What it's for
The handheld two-prong tool from the “5 minutes a day” videos. It’s the most technique-dependent product we tested: it rewards people who will actually do the five minutes, and does nothing for people who won’t. Below is what happened when we did.
Cosmetic device. No medical claims, no before/afters. Just what we observed.
How we use it
- Clean face, then a thin layer of water-based gel or a plain serum. The supplier says any moisture-rich lotion works; a cheap aloe gel is what we used. Skip it and the device does nothing — we checked.
- Lowest setting first. Slow upward strokes, 5 minutes total: jaw, then cheek, then brow. You feel a faint tingle, not a shock.
- Rinse the gel off, wipe the metal heads, charge it about once a week with the included micro-USB cable.
The honest bit about price
Why $59 when Amazon has them cheaper
Comparable handheld microcurrent tools on Amazon run about $25–$45. Ours is $59. The difference is a 30-day test you did not have to run, a US supplier that ships in 1–2 business days, a 30-day full refund with no forms, and the “What we didn't love” section below. If you already know you want the cheap one, buy the cheap one.
Nothing is perfect
What we didn't love
You need gel every single time. It is a small mess, and the first week we forgot and wondered why nothing happened.
The higher settings tingle more than we liked around the mouth. We stayed on low or medium for the whole test.
It charges over micro-USB, so it is one more cable on the shelf.
